Nicaragua
In the mountains of Jinotega, where cooler temperatures and mineral-rich soil create ideal conditions between 1,000 and 1,400 meters, farmers work with a diverse array of varietals—Caturra, Catucai, Bourbon, Catimor, and the distinctive Maragogype. This is Nicaragua, Fair Trade certified coffee that speaks of commitment to both quality and equity.
The fully washed process followed by sun drying creates clarity and consistency, water removing fruit and sun concentrating what remains. What emerges is comforting rather than challenging: medium acidity providing structure, medium body offering substance, and flavor notes that evoke warmth—hazelnut richness, molasses sweetness, graham cracker comfort. This is coffee that feels like coming home, familiar without being boring, satisfying without being heavy.
Fair Trade certification here means more than a label—it represents farmers receiving fair compensation, investing in their communities, controlling more of their destiny. Whether fueling morning routine or afternoon respite, Nicaragua offers coffee as nourishment for both body and conscience.
