Colombia
In the mountains of Tolima, where 59 farming families formed Cafe del Macizo in 2003 to share knowledge and resources, coffee grows between 1,500 and 2,100 meters in some of Colombia's finest terrain. This is Colombia, Fairtrade certified beans that represent decades of collective wisdom and commitment to quality and equity.
The washed and sun-dried process creates the clean, bright foundation that Colombia is known for, allowing the inherent qualities of Caturra, Castillo, and Typica varietals to shine. What emerges is beautiful complexity: medium acidity providing structure, rounded body offering substance, and a flavor profile that moves from dark chocolate richness through tropical mango and peach brightness. It's coffee that contains multitudes without competing with itself, each element supporting the whole.
This is collaboration as alchemy—individual farmers working together, creating something greater than any could achieve alone. Fairtrade certification ensures they receive fair compensation for their meticulous work. Whether beginning the day or sustaining afternoon momentum, Colombia offers coffee as community made manifest, complex and fair and deeply satisfying.
